A full Lennox AC installation in Dallas typically runs between $3,500 and $7,500 depending on the model line, your home’s square footage, and the condition of your existing ductwork. We’re an independent Lennox service provider – not a factory-authorized dealer – which means we install whatever Lennox system actually fits your house and your budget, not whatever the manufacturer is pushing this quarter. Most installations take one full day, and you’ll have a written price in hand before we touch a single wire.
If you’re reading this, you probably own a Lennox that’s nearing the end of its run, or you’ve already decided Lennox is the brand you want for the next 15 years. Either way, you need a crew that knows these machines inside and out. Call (430) 213-5796 and we’ll talk through your options straight.
How Lennox Products Fail – and How We Fix Them
Lennox builds good equipment. But every brand has its patterns, and after years of installing and replacing them across Dallas, we’ve learned exactly where Lennox systems tend to wear out. Here’s what we see most often:
- XC and XC-Y series compressors with refrigerant leaks at the braze joints. The Lennox XC21 and XC25 are efficient machines, but their copper line connections sit closer to the coil than most brands. In Dallas heat, those joints expand and contract hard every single day. We’ll braze in new connections, pressure-test with nitrogen, and pull a proper vacuum before charging. If the compressor itself is worn, that’s the time to talk replacement rather than patchwork.
- Evaporator coil corrosion on older Merit and Elite series units. Lennox Merit and Elite coils from the late 2000s and early 2010s have a known tendency toward formicary corrosion – tiny pinholes that leak refrigerant slowly. You’ll notice your AC runs but the house never quite gets below 78 degrees. We’ll show you the leak with a digital gauge before we recommend repair or replacement. Most homeowners with a leaking coil on a 12-year-old system are better off putting that money toward a new installation.
- Faulty run capacitors on Signature Series condensing units. The Lennox Signature Series (like the XC25 variable-speed units) puts a lot of strain on its capacitors during Dallas summers. A failing cap usually means the outdoor fan won’t spin or the compressor hums but won’t start. We keep OEM Lennox capacitors on our trucks along with quality aftermarket options, and we’ll walk you through the price difference honestly.
- Condensate drain clogs in the EL series air handlers. The Elite EL air handlers have a drain pan design that’s a little shallower than some competitors. In a climate as humid as Dallas, algae and scale build up faster. We’ll clear the drain, flush the pan, and if you’re installing new, we’ll set the pan pitch properly so water can’t pool against the coil.
- Blower motor burnout on ML series furnaces paired with AC coils. The Lennox ML line uses a standard PSC motor that can run hot when the filter hasn’t been changed. If your blower quits in July, the AC isn’t far behind. We’ll check static pressure and motor amperage before we declare anything dead. If you’re already in for a new AC, we often recommend stepping up to a constant-torque or variable-speed blower motor if your budget allows.

Our Lennox AC Installation Process
Here’s how a Lennox installation goes when you work with us, from the first call to the final walkthrough:
- 1
Call and talk to a person. You call (430) 213-5796 and a live person answers. We’ll ask about your current system, the age of it, the square footage of your home, and what problems you’ve been having. Then we set a firm arrival window.
- 2
On-site evaluation. Victor Mancini or one of our senior techs shows up, walks the property, checks your ductwork, measures your load, and looks at the electrical panel. No sale, no pressure – just a written price for the work we think you actually need.
- 3
Equipment and parts selection. We’ll show you two or three Lennox options that fit your home – usually a Merit for budget, and Elite or Signature if you want the higher SEER rating and variable-speed comfort. We use OEM Lennox parts for anything under factory warranty, and we’ll be straight about when a quality aftermarket part saves you money without hurting performance.
- 4
Installation day. We pull the old equipment, set the new coil and condenser, run new lines where needed, braze them clean, pull a vacuum to below 500 microns, and charge the system to factory spec using a scale – nobody guesses on refrigerant.
- 5
Test and verify. We check temperature split, refrigerant pressures, airflow, and electrical draw. We’ll show you the numbers before we leave.
- 6
Paperwork and the guarantee. You get a written price that matched the quote, a written warranty, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing before we pack up. We’ll also walk you through the Lennox manufacturer warranty registration so you don’t miss any term.

Why Dallas Homeowners Call Cold Harbour Heating and Air Dallas for Lennox Work
We’ve been keeping homes in North Texas cool since 2003, and we’ve built the business around one idea that matters more than a logo: tell the customer the number before the work starts. Everything else follows from that. That’s why every Lennox installation includes a written price before tools come out, a written 365-Day Done Right Promise, and a job-site cleanup before we leave. FAQs
We can typically schedule a full Lennox installation within 3 – 7 days of your site evaluation, and sometimes sooner depending on equipment availability at the local supply houses. The installation itself is a one-day job in most homes. Call (430) 213-5796 and we’ll give you a firm date.
No. As an independent Lennox service provider, we install to factory specifications. Your Lennox manufacturer warranty remains intact. We’ll register the equipment for you and walk you through exactly what’s covered and for how long.
If your Lennox is 12 years old or more and the repair quote is over $1,200, replacement usually beats repair. You’ll get a new warranty, better efficiency, and a system sized for today’s Dallas summers. We’ll show you both options in writing so you can decide with the facts in front of you.
We use OEM Lennox parts for anything still under manufacturer warranty. For out-of-warranty repairs, we’ll give you both options and explain the trade-offs honestly. We never substitute a part without telling you first.
Every repair and installation we complete includes a written guarantee. If anything fails within 365 days, we come back and make it right at no charge. It’s in writing before we leave your home.
